One Bright Idea

It all started with an idea in 2000, when three founders set out to change the way the world shops. Today, Ocado Group led by CEO Tim Steiner, is a global leader in retail technology and logistics.

The Base Camp

Our journey began at our Hatfield campus, the site of our very first Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC). Now, it’s home to the Ocado Group and a state-of-the-art hub featuring tasty places to eat, easy transport links, and even a Lego model of the warehouse where it all started.

The Power Behind the Shop

Our team at Ocado Logistics led by our MD Brian McClory - act as the engine room of the Ocado Group. While our Ocado Retail handles the storefront (in partnership with M&S) - we're the heart of the operation, using our pioneering technology to pick, pack and power the warehouses that keep the nation fed. Not just for Ocado Retail either - we also deliver on behalf of Morrisons from some of our sites.

A Very British Partnership

In the UK, our online grocery business is a 50:50 joint venture with Marks & Spencer. We share the same spirit so it just made sense to team up: for M&S, it’s never just been about food – just like how we’ve never just been about groceries. Our dynamic duo combines the quality of M&S products with our cutting-edge delivery network to bring the best of both worlds directly to our customers' doors.

And we're not just delivering groceries; at Ocado Group, we're designing and building the systems that run them. Our Ocado Smart Platform is so advanced that we partner with innovative grocery retailers across the globe, changing the way the world shops.
