At Ocado Logistics, we recognise that colleagues are balancing much more than just work.
There are good days, difficult days, and days where having someone to talk to can make all the difference. That’s why we’re proud to work with GroceryAid, an industry charity that provides support for grocery colleagues and their families when they need it most.
For 165 years, GroceryAid has been there for people across the grocery industry, providing free and confidential support through life’s challenges. From emotional wellbeing and counselling, to practical guidance, carer support and mental health resources, there’s a wide range of help available for colleagues and their families
Whether you’re going through a difficult time, looking for advice, or simply want to understand what support is available, GroceryAid is there to help.
What support can look like: A colleague story
On GroceryAid Day, we spoke to one of our colleagues about his experience using the service.
As a Council Rep, they first became aware of GroceryAid as a support service they could signpost to other colleagues. Later, during a particularly challenging period personally, they decided to reach out themselves.
“I was going through a really difficult period and needed someone to talk to. When I called GroceryAid, I could let out what was going on in my head. They helped me get the support I needed, and I feel a lot more stable and much less stuck than I did before I reached out.”
The GroceyAid helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - something that made a real difference for them. Because support was available outside of standard working hours, they were able to call after their shift, at a time that worked for them.
Colleagues can contact GroceryAid directly, without needing to go through their manager or share anything with anyone at work. The team will listen, understand what’s going on, and help connect colleagues with the right support.
At Ocado Logistics, we want our people to know that support is there for them, not just at work, but through the moments in life that can feel difficult to carry alone.
By working with GroceryAid, we’re helping make that support easier to find, easier to access, and easier to talk about. Because sometimes, knowing where to turn can make all the difference.
